Danny Amat is a native Floridian of Cuban descent, born and raised in Miami, Florida. He graduated with high honors from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, then returned to UF to earn his Juris Doctor with honors. During law school, Danny was selected as a member and editor of the University of Florida Law Review, an achievement reserved for top-performing students.
Danny began his legal career representing major insurance companies in negligence and injury claims. Although he excelled in that role, he quickly realized his purpose was not defending insurers—but standing up for individuals harmed by negligence. That shift in mission has shaped his career for more than 30 years.
For the past three decades, Danny has dedicated his practice to advocating for injured clients navigating the overwhelming world of personal injury claims and Florida’s complex civil justice system. He has handled cases from the earliest stages after an accident through settlement, litigation, and trial.
